Job summary

Allied Universal in Allen, TX is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Site Observation for a retail location. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, deter unauthorized activity, and deliver outstanding customer service to visitors and tenants.

The role offers full-time hours and a daytime schedule. You will document incidents, coordinate with site leadership, and participate in emergency responses per site protocols.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background checks and drug screening may be required.
• Licensing requirements may apply depending on state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, tenants, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail and mall common areas, storefronts, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, observe visitor and delivery activity, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, or policy violations per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed by site protocols.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and shift information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
