Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time unarmed Security Officer in Allen, TX. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service while communicating professionally with visitors and staff.

The role requires a minimum of 1 year in security, a high school diploma, and the ability to pass a background check and drug screen. Training and advancement opportunities are available in a nationwide organization.

Qualifications

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters in accordance with site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Observe and report unusual activity, potential hazards, and policy violations to the appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Assist with access control, visitor direction, and other security-related support activities while maintaining a professional presence.
