Job summary

Allied Universal is looking for a part-time Security Officer (Patrol Observation) to work in Arlington, VA. You will safeguard clients, conduct regular patrols, monitor access, and respond to incidents while delivering professional customer service at a financial institution location.

The role offers flexible DayTime and Evening shifts with a focus on safety and a platform to claim additional shifts. Training and growth opportunities are provided by Allied Universal.

Qualifications

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check required by law; drug screen; licensing as applicable.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the building, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and document incidents, observations, and policy violations in accordance with site requirements.
• Communicate promptly with site contacts, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership regarding incidents and security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
