Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol with Active Clearance in Arlington, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment. You will communicate professionally with employees and visitors, respond to concerns, and document observations using computer or tablet tools. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and maintain visitor and contractor entry records in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established communication channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, including business areas, perimeter, parking areas, and access points, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Document observations, incidents, and security-related concerns accurately and promptly using site-required reporting procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Possess an active Department of Defense Secret clearance.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Possess CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Possess a Guard Card or license preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
