Job summary

Allied Universal in Minneapolis is looking for a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol on the second shift to join our team. You will provide front-line security, assist guests, and uphold site policies in a hotel and resort environment while maintaining a visible, welcoming presence.

As part of Allied Universal, you’ll deliver exceptional customer service, perform regular patrols, respond to incidents professionally, and document observations for site leadership.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check required in accordance with federal, state and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to guests, staff, vendors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hotel and resort areas to identify and report unusual activity.
• Respond to incidents and guest concerns in a calm, professional manner, escalating as needed.
• Monitor access points and observe activity to deter unauthorized entry and support a welcoming environment.
• Document patrols and incidents accurately and communicate information to leadership and site representatives.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol in Minneapolis, MN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a hotel and resort location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for guests, visitors, and staff. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. Pay Rate: $19.80 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM
• Tue: 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM
• Wed: 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM
• Sat: 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM
• Sun: 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to guests, staff, vendors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hotel and resort common areas, guest-accessible spaces, parking areas, service corridors, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or potential concerns.
• Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters to appropriate site personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, helping to deter unauthorized entry and support a welcoming environment for guests and visitors.
• Document patrols, incidents, and observations accurate and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
