Job summary

Allied Universal in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Reporting to safeguard clients across logistics and distribution sites. You will conduct patrols, maintain a visible presence, and provide excellent customer service while upholding company standards.

The role is full-time with a pay rate of $15.37 per hour. Typical shifts are Mon-Fri 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM, with responsibilities including incident response, access control, reporting, and collaboration with site leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Background investigation will be conducted in accordance with applicable laws.
• Drug screen required as a condition of employment where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and employees by following site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and escalate as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of loading areas, trailer yards, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter; identify and report hazards or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for personnel, visitors, and deliveries.
• Document observations and incidents in required reports and communicate during shift handoffs.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating information to appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of loading areas, trailer yards, parking areas, entrances, and the business perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for personnel, visitors, and delivery-related traffic in accordance with site procedures.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately in required reports and communicate relevant information during shift handoffs.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
