Job summary

Allied Universal, North America's leading security and facility services company, is hiring a part-time Security Guard in Atlanta, GA. You will patrol facilities, monitor access, and deliver excellent customer service while maintaining a visible security presence.

As a part-time unarmed officer, you’ll build a flexible schedule with our shift-claim platform and contribute to a safe environment for clients, employees, and visitors. Prior security experience is appreciated but not required.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of distribution facility buildings, loading areas, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location, verify credentials as directed, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and complete required reports.
• Observe and report unusual conditions, damaged property, and potential hazards to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
