Job summary

Allied Universal, North America's leading security and facility services company, is hiring a Part-Time Security Officer (Unarmed Patrol) in Leesburg, VA. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, assist with access control, and deliver outstanding customer service to clients in Tech/Media/Telecom environments.

This role offers flexible evenings/weekend hours, opportunities to grow, and access to Allied Universal's Shift platform to claim additional shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background investigation and drug screen required.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at client site.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of data center buildings, offices, loading areas, parking facilities, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for personnel, visitors, deliveries, and contractors.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Report observations and document actions taken to deter security-related incidents.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $26.06 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sat: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sun: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology data center by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of data center buildings, offices, loading areas, parking facilities, and perimeter areas while reporting unusual conditions or security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for personnel, visitors, deliveries, and contractors in accordance with established site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting actions taken.
• Help to deter unauthorized access and property loss through a professional presence, observation, and timely reporting of security-related incidents.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
