Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol for a part-time role in Rockville, MD. You will patrol, monitor access points, handle security procedures, and deliver excellent customer service in a dynamic team setting.

The position offers a weekend schedule (Sat/Sun 2:30 PM–10:30 PM) and flexible shift options through the Claim a Shift platform. Allied Universal is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, background investigation will be conducted.
• A drug screen may be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of utility facilities, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, directing authorized visitors, and reporting access concerns in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services when needed.
• Prepare clear activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation while communicating relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 02:30 PM - 10:30 PM
• Sun: 02:30 PM - 10:30 PM

What You'll Do:

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
