Allied Universal in Fairfax, VA is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer – Driver Patrol Support. The role involves providing customer service at a water utility site, conducting vehicle and foot patrols, monitoring access points, and supporting badge and visitor processes.

A valid driver's license is required for driving duties. The schedule is Sat 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM and Sun 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM; pay is $18.22 per hour.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license may be required for driving duties.
• Background checks and drug screening as per laws.
• Aging 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Comfortable with using a computer or tablet.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a water utility location by following security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations calmly and in accordance with site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, areas, parking, gates, and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for personnel and visitors.
• Document patrols and incidents and communicate information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a utilities location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, monitor access points, support badge and visitor processes, and help deter security-related incidents through a visible presence. A valid driver’s license is required for this driving post. What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a water utility location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility buildings, operational areas, parking areas, gates, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for personnel, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel in accordance with site requirements.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and other security-related activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• The ability to comfortably use a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
