Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Unarmed Patrol) for a government location in Coal Township, PA. You will perform routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, and provide professional customer service to visitors and staff while following site procedures and safety policies.

The role requires at least 6 months of security experience, a high school diploma, and the ability to work a two-shift schedule with a pay rate of $20.15 per hour.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a government-operated retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, sales areas, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and delivery activity in accordance with site policies and applicable government regulations.
• Document incidents, observations, and daily activities accurately, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $20.15 / Hour

• Age Requirement:Candidates must be at least 21 years of age (C101). This requirement is in place to ensure compliance with legal regulations

• Security Experience:Candidates must possess a minimum of 6 months of relevant security experience (C112). This experience should demonstrate the candidate's ability to handle security-related responsibilities effectively and contribute to a safe working environment.

• Customer Service Experience:Candidates must have prior customer service experience (B219). This experience is essential for roles that require interaction with clients and customers, ensuring that our team members can provide exceptional service and support.
