Allied Universal in Coal Township, PA, is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Incident Response to safeguard government locations and serve a diverse client base. The role requires a high school diploma, 6 months of security experience, and the ability to pass background checks and drug screens.

Qualifications

• Minimum six months of security-related experience required.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screen per law.
• Licensing may be required; valid driver’s license for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and vendors at a government-operated location by carrying out site-specific procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, sales floor, storage areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and delivery activity; report unusual conditions, prohibited items, or unauthorized access to relevant personnel.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations calmly, contacting emergency services as required.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities accurately and promptly per Allied Universal reporting requirements.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and vendors at a government-operated retail location by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, sales floor, storage areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and delivery activity in accordance with site procedures; report unusual conditions, prohibited items, or unauthorized access to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting emergency services and/or site representatives as required.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities accurately and promptly in accordance with Allied Universal and site reporting requirements.

Minimum Requirements

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
