Job summary

Allied Universal in Reston, VA is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Operations for a financial services location. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, and support access control and alarm response while providing excellent customer service.

This full-time, night-shift role offers $21.00 per hour and opportunities for growth through training and access to exclusive tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors at a financial services location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site-specific procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout office areas, entry points, parking areas, and the property perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor authorization, and maintain logs and incident documentation in accordance with site requirements.
• Communicate professionally with employees, visitors, management, and first responders as needed during routine operations and emergency situations.

• Mon 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Tue 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Wed 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Thur 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Fri 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Funding:
