Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an unarmed Security Officer in Charlotte, NC. You will patrol, deter incidents, and provide customer service at a commercial real estate site, maintaining a welcoming environment for tenants and visitors.

You will monitor access points, document observations, respond to incidents, and prepare daily activity and incident reports, communicating professionally with property staff and the public.

Pay Rate: $17.85 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Tue 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Fri 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Sat 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Sun 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and/or property staff by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at commercial real estate locations.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, parking areas, common areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, helping to maintain orderly entry and exit for authorized individuals.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Prepare accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol logs while maintaining professional communication with property personnel and the public.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
