Allied Universal is seeking an unarmed Security Officer for a full-time graveyard shift in Hermiston, Oregon. You will patrol a freight distribution site, deter incidents, and deliver courteous service to employees, drivers, visitors, and vendors.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, drivers, visitors, and vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a freight distribution location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, loading areas, trailer yards, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for personnel, visitors, and vehicles entering or leaving the property in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Document observations, patrol activity, incidents, and policy violations in clear, accurate reports.
