Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Driver in Chambersburg, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a busy retail location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, assist customers and store team members, and communicate observations clearly. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license and offers the opportunity to demonstrate our agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first values through teamwork and integrity.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

• All candidates must possess a valid driver's license in accordance with AU Driver Policy Requirements. This is essential for roles that require driving as part of the job responsibilities.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail sales areas, entrances, exits, parking areas, and the property perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Observe and report security-related concerns, suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations to site leadership and/or the appropriate authorities.
• Document incidents, patrol activities, and observations in accordance with site procedures and Allied Universal reporting requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
