Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Documentation in Birmingham, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will support access control, communicate professionally with patients, visitors, and staff, and provide exceptional customer service. Pay Rate: $13.57 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned clinical areas, public spaces, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor direction, wayfinding, and access-control procedures in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports for incidents, observations, and security-related activities, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
