Job summary

Allied Universal in Winter Park, FL is seeking a part-time Security Officer (Unarmed Patrol Coverage) to monitor and safeguard client sites in tech/media/telecom environments. You will deliver customer service, maintain a visible presence, and report security concerns during your shift.

Schedule: Fri 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM and Sat 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM. Requirements include being 18+, high school diploma or equivalent, background check, and drug screening where permitted.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by laws.
• Drug screen may be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply depending on state regulations.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific security procedures and emergency measures.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of the property to identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activities; report concerns and follow escalation protocols.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations and document observations.
• Prepare accurate activity and incident reports while maintaining a professional presence.

Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of the property, including buildings, common areas, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter, to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and vendor activity in accordance with site procedures; report access concerns and follow established escalation protocols.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate activity, incident, and patrol reports while maintaining a professional presence that helps to deter unwanted activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
