Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Computer Operations in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. You will support a welcoming environment for tenants and visitors while contributing to Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture through teamwork and integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or clients by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, garages, loading zones, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and authorized entry procedures; verify credentials as directed and report unauthorized access attempts or policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, tenant concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document actions taken.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol logs, and communicate relevant security-related information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least three years of security-related, law enforcement, military police, or military experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable use of a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
