Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Presence in San Carlos, CA. The role involves monitoring and patrolling commercial real estate locations, providing excellent customer service to tenants and visitors, and maintaining a visible presence to deter security issues.

Position Type: Full Time. Pay Rate: $25.90 / Hour. Shifts run overnight from Tuesday to Saturday, 11:00 PM - 07:30 AM, with duties including access control, incident response, and professional tenant support.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the property, verify visitor and contractor authorization in accordance with site procedures, and report access‑control concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner; document observations, actions taken, and notifications in required reports.
• Help maintain a professional presence that supports tenant operations and helps to deter unauthorized activity while providing directions and assistance as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
