Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company, is hiring a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Access Point in San Jose, CA. You will monitor and patrol government facilities, maintain access control, and deliver exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment.

The role is full time with a daytime schedule and a pay rate of $26.00 per hour. You will perform patrols, verify access, document incidents, and respond to emergencies while upholding Allied Universal’s

• At least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screening required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public while following site procedures and access-control practices.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entry points, verify authorized access, and track visitor activity.
• Respond calmly to incidents and notify appropriate personnel or responders when needed.
• Prepare accurate activity logs and incident reports per site procedures.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Access Point in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control activities, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, public areas, parking locations, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor entry points, verify authorized access as directed, and maintain awareness of visitor activity and restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders when needed.
• Prepare accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation in accordance with site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
