Qualifications

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security experience or a college degree.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, patients, and contractors per site policies and emergency procedures.
• Respond to incidents and medical emergencies following site protocols.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of buildings, laboratories, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials; maintain logs and incident reports.
• Support a professional environment by giving directions and communicating observations to site leadership.

What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, patients, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare and research location.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout buildings, laboratories, parking areas, and the property perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and maintain accurate logs and incident reports.
• Support a professional, respectful environment by providing directions, assisting with access-related questions, and communicating observations to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
