Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Building Patrol in HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security‑related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. You will support a welcoming environment while using computer or tablet tools as needed. Pay Rate: $19.50 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store personnel by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail sales areas, common areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting suspicious conditions, policy violations, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activity accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
