Job summary

Allied Universal in San Juan Capistrano, CA is seeking a Security Officer Access Control to monitor a healthcare location, support access control, and respond to alarms while providing exceptional customer service to patients, visitors, and staff. This full-time role requires a high school diploma and at least 1 year of security experience.

As a Security Officer Access Control in San Juan Capistrano, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will support access control and alarm response while providing exceptional customer service and communication to patients, visitors, and staff. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, patients, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare laboratory location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, parking areas, entrances, perimeter, and other assigned areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and support visitor, contractor, and delivery access procedures in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
