Qualifications

• Background check will be conducted as a condition of employment.
• Drug screen may be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of hospital buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances, verifying authorized access when required, and directing patients and visitors to appropriate locations.
• Document incidents, observations, and activities in accordance with site procedures, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and healthcare staff.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security‑related experience.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
