Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Unarmed Patrol Presence Security Officer in Providence, RI to safeguard clients across healthcare facilities and other sites. You will maintain a visible presence, deter incidents, and provide courteous support to patients, visitors, and staff while following site procedures.

The role offers flexible scheduling with opportunities to expand through the Claim a Shift platform.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• A valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following site-specific procedures and policies.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and other critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of healthcare buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, directing individuals to appropriate facility resources when needed.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately in required systems.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, healthcare facility policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate facility personnel and/or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of healthcare buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures, directing individuals to appropriate facility resources when needed.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and promptly in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
