Job summary

Allied Universal, Wakefield, RI, is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer to monitor hospital facilities, deter incidents, and provide excellent service to patients, visitors, and staff. You will patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence, respond to incidents, and communicate with site leadership per established protocols.

The role offers flexible day and night shifts with pay rate of $21.22 per hour, and opportunities for shift claiming via our platform.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and contacting appropriate personnel when needed.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures, helping support an orderly healthcare environment.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

What You'll Do:
