Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol in Lakeland, FL. This part-time role offers a schedule that includes Saturdays and Sundays from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, with a pay rate of $17.25 per hour.

You will help safeguard a technology-focused business location and provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors. Minimum requirements include 6 months of security experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to pass a background check and drug

• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies, including emergency response when needed.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and inform site contacts or responders.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols throughout the facility, including business areas, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with credential verification, and direct guests to appropriate locations.
• Document patrols, incidents, and observations in required reports and communicate information during shift handoffs.

Pay Rate: $17.25 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sun 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused business location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating observations to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, including business areas, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures, assisting with credential verification and directing guests to appropriate locations.
• Document patrols, incidents, and unusual observations in required reports, and communicate relevant information during shift handoffs.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
