Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, seeks a part-time Enhanced Security Officer in Lakeland, FL. The role features fixed anchor shifts with a six-month commitment and opportunities to pick up extra shifts via our scheduling platform.

Responsibilities include customer service, site patrols, access monitoring, incident response, and maintaining a safe retail environment. A year of security experience and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• One year of security-related experience.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Guard Card or license preferred.
• Must be 18+ (unarmed) / 21+ (armed).
• Background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to customers, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floors, entrances, parking areas, loading areas, and perimeter locations, to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity for unusual conditions, and report security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Assist with maintaining an orderly retail environment by providing directions, supporting crowd management during high-traffic periods, and documenting incidents accurately.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Driver Compliance in Lakeland, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate:

$16.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Thur: 05:00 PM - 11:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
