What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of warehouses, loading docks, parking areas, trailer yards, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards or unusual conditions.
• Control access by monitoring gates, doors, and designated entry points, verifying identification and/or credentials, and directing drivers and visitors to the proper check-in locations per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, disturbances, medical situations, and weather-related events, and communicate updates to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
• Complete patrol logs and incident reports, use site systems such as radios and/or CCTV when assigned, and report maintenance concerns such as broken lights, unsecured doors, or damaged fencing.

Minimum Requirements

• Have 1+ years' armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Client requires proof of high school diploma and/or GED.
• Guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
