Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Assistance in Canton, MS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by following site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior spaces, exterior areas, parking facilities, access points, and the business perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access activity, verify visitor and contractor authorization in accordance with site procedures, and report access-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response activities and escalation protocols.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities accurately in required reports and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
