Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer in Charlottesville, VA. You will provide customer service, monitor access points, and conduct unarmed patrols to deter incidents while maintaining logs and responding to emergencies.

Position emphasizes flexible daytime shifts, a developing career path in security, and adherence to safety and site policies. Prior guard license and CPR/First Aid certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Guard card or license preferred.
• Experience with access control and badges preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background investigation required by law.
• Allied Universal will consider applicants with criminal histories as allowed by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local law.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

• Assist with enforcing site rules, reporting maintenance or facility concerns, and completing required documentation using established procedures.

As a Security Officer Patrol in Charlottesville, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting an aerospace and defense location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly with employees and visitors, and respond professionally to site needs. Pay Rate: $22.05 / Hour

Job Schedule: DayTimeFri07:00 AM - 03:00 PMSat06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control requirements, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorizations, and maintain accurate logs and reports in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating observations to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to identify and report unusual conditions, unauthorized activity, and/or security-related concerns.
• Assist with enforcing site rules, reporting maintenance or facility concerns, and completing required documentation using established procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badges is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
