Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, seeks a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Services in Jacksonville, FL. You will provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors while conducting patrols and maintaining a visible security presence at a technology-focused location.

The role includes monitoring access, responding to incidents, and documenting observations.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Background check conducted per federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and/or delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior spaces, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor authorization according to site procedures, and report irregularities or access-control concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
• Document patrols, incidents, and observations accurately in required reports and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
