Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Unarmed Overnight Vehicle Patrol in San Diego, CA. You will provide courteous customer service, conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, and report incidents with clear documentation. This role requires a valid driver’s license and is scheduled overnight from Tuesday through Saturday.

The position is full-time with a pay rate of $20.60 per hour. A background check and drug screen are required; licensing may apply by state law.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants subject to a background investigation and drug screen.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, disturbances, and critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and property perimeter.
• Monitor access points and observe activity, reporting unusual conditions and policy violations.
• Document incidents and daily observations in clear reports and communicate information to site contacts and leadership.

• Thur: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Fri: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sat: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and the property perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and policy violations according to site procedures.
• Document incidents, patrol activities, and daily observations in clear and accurate reports, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
