Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an Armed Security Officer for the Afternoon Patrol Driver role in San Diego, CA. You will provide customer service to residents and staff while conducting routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintaining a visible presence to deter incidents, and responding professionally to resident needs.

• Respond to incidents and emergencies in a calm, professional manner and coordinate with emergency services as needed.
• Monitor access points, verify entry, and document visitor activity and patrol findings.
• Maintain armed credentials and equipment and complete reports promptly.

As an Armed Security Officer in a residential community, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to resident and visitor needs. Pay Rate: $25.75 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Tue: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Fri: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sat: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sun: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate emergency services and/or site representatives as needed.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, and document visitor activity, incidents, observations, and patrol findings in accordance with site procedures.
• Maintain required armed credentials and equipment, follow applicable laws and Allied Universal procedures, and complete assigned reports accurately and promptly.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An armed guard card or license is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A valid firearms permit is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
