Job summary

Allied Universal in Columbus, MS is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Unarmed Mobile Patrol Driver). You will provide customer service to employees and visitors while patrolling and monitoring access at an industrial location and respond to incidents with professional composure.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, 18+ years old, and a high school diploma. The schedule includes overnight shifts with opportunities to expand roles via our Shift platform.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at an industrial chemical manufacturing location.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of building interiors, production-adjacent areas, access points, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access control points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain accurate entry logs, and communicate site access requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and complete required incident documentation.
• Follow site rules for restricted areas and required personal protective equipment while performing assigned duties.

Pay Rate: $14.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Thur 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:
