Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Patrol Driver in Columbus, MS. This part-time role offers Wed 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM and Thu 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM shifts with a flexible schedule via the Claim a Shift platform. The pay rate is $14.50 per hour.

You will support customer service, monitor access, patrol assigned areas, and respond to incidents while upholding security procedures and reporting observations to leadership.

As a Security Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine inspections, help deter incidents, and support access control activities. This driving post requires a valid driver's license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy. You will provide exceptional customer service and communication while contributing to a caring, reliable team that acts with integrity.

• Thur 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees while carrying out site-specific security‑related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, access points, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to the location, verify credentials as directed, and report unauthorized entry attempts or policy concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, chemical‑related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying emergency responders when required.
• Prepare clear activity and incident reports and communicate observations, hazards, and maintenance concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
