Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random foot and vehicle patrols to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials per site-specific procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and document observations and actions.
• Complete daily activity and incident reports accurately and timely.

As a Security Officer Unarmed Mobile Patrol in Olympia, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, manage access control and badge activities, and provide welcoming customer service. You will use technology to document observations and communicate with teams, reflecting Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, people-first culture and commitment to integrity.

Pay Rate: $22.25 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of the facility, parking areas, entrances, exterior perimeter, and other assigned areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity; verify credentials and direct guests in accordance with site-specific access-control procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document observations and actions taken.
• Complete daily activity reports, incident reports, and other required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Hold CPR certification, preferred.
• Have customer service experience, preferred.
• Have access control and badge experience, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
