Allied Universal is seeking an unarmed Security Officer for a mobile patrol role in Lansing, MI. You will patrol a busy retail location, maintain a visible presence, assist customers and staff, and uphold company values of integrity and teamwork.

The position is full-time with a set daytime schedule and a pay rate of $17.00 per hour. Candidates must meet minimum requirements and may undergo background checks and drug screening as required by law.

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor for unusual activity, policy violations, and potential hazards, and promptly report observations to site management and Allied Universal leadership.
• Assist with access control, visitor interactions, and documentation of incidents and security-related activities in accordance with site procedures.

You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, assist customers and staff, and communicate professionally with the team. What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
