Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Patrol in Lansing, MI to safeguard clients across various industries. The role focuses on unarmed patrols, visible presence, customer service, and adherence to site policies.

The position is full-time with scheduled daytime shifts and weekend coverage. You will conduct patrols, monitor entrances and high-traffic areas, respond to incidents, and assist with access control while maintaining a customer-focused, safety-first mindset in a dynamic retail

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and visitors at a retail location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the store, adjacent areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter theft, unauthorized activity, and other security-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas; observe and report suspicious activity, policy violations, hazards, and incidents to appropriate store personnel and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and documenting observations and actions taken.
• Assist with access control, customer and associate support, and traffic or crowd-management needs during busy store periods, special events, and/or emergencies.
