Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Unarmed Mobile Patrol) in La Porte, IN. You will monitor and safeguard an aerospace/defense site, maintain a visible presence, and report observations to deter incidents while delivering excellent customer service.

This full-time role pays $18.60 per hour and follows a daytime schedule with Monday–Friday shifts. You will work with a professional team, follow site procedures, and help ensure a safe, compliant work environment.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by federal/state/local laws.
• Drug screening may be required.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and contractors while carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents and alarms calmly, following site protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, offices, and perimeter points.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials; maintain logs and incident documentation.
• Support a professional workplace by clear communication with site personnel and reporting procedures.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense manufacturing location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, offices, parking areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter points to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and unauthorized access concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required by site procedures, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
• Support a professional workplace environment by communicating clearly with site personnel and following Allied Universal and client-specific reporting procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
