Allied Universal® in La Porte, IN is seeking a Part-Time Security Guard (Unarmed Patrol Deterrence) to monitor and safeguard clients across aerospace/defense locations. You will maintain a visible presence, control access, and provide professional customer service to employees and visitors.

The role offers flexible DayTime and Weekend shifts using our Claim a Shift platform, with pay at $19.75 per hour. Ideal candidates are 18+ with a HS diploma, pass background checks, and comply with site

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at an aerospace and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and report security-related concerns. You will engage professionally with employees and visitors, support access procedures, and deliver exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense manufacturing location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, manage visitor and contractor entry, and report unauthorized access attempts in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and promptly notifying appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, office spaces, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Observe and report unusual activity, facility conditions, and policy violations while maintaining professional communication with site personnel and the public.
