Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Unarmed Mobile Driver) in New Haven, CT for a part-time role. You will drive a company vehicle, patrol retail and other sites, deter incidents, and provide excellent customer service while maintaining a visible presence.

The position requires a valid driver’s license and involves completing reports and communications with site contacts. Shifts are evening-based, with a pay rate of $20.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to customers, associates, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.

• Respond to incidents and disturbances in a calm, professional manner following site procedures.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious behavior or policy concerns to site contacts.
• Complete incident reports and logs in accordance with policy requirements.

This driving position requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy. What You\'ll Do:

• Provide customer service to customers, associates, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the sales floor, entrances, parking areas, perimeter, and other assigned areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Respond to incidents, customer disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Monitor access points, observe customer and associate activity, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy concerns to appropriate site contacts.
• Complete accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
