Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol Driver Route Operations in Petersburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. This driving position requires a valid driver's license. Deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while reflecting Allied Universal's agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-oriented, and integrity-driven values.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $18.80 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM
• Thur: 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM
• Fri: 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM

What You'll Do

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.

• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities as required.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with facility policies, providing directions and assistance to support a welcoming environment.
• Prepare accurate reports regarding incidents, observations, and/or unusual occurrences, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
