Job Description

As a Security Officer Healthcare Patrol Driver in Salem, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff, and respond to security-related needs with professionalism and care. This driving position offers the opportunity to deliver exceptional customer service and communication while supporting Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, people-first culture through teamwork and integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and communicating with appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of healthcare facilities, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and access concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor direction, access control procedures, and the protection of restricted areas.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activity accurately, and provide clear information to site leadership and responding personnel as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Must be able to work in a hospital morgue.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
• Must have at least two years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
