Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an Unarmed Security Officer for a hospital in Seneca, South Carolina. The role involves monitoring, patrolling, maintaining a visible presence, managing access, and delivering professional customer service to patients, visitors, and staff.

The position is full-time with a minimum of 30 hours per week. A valid driver’s license is required, and CPR certification and background checks may be required by law. You will join a team that values care, integrity, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of healthcare facilities, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy concerns.
• Assist with access control, visitor management, and directing patients and visitors to appropriate locations while maintaining a professional and welcoming presence.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and follow-up needs to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $18.69 / Hour

Job Schedule:

This is a full-time position. You can expect to work a minimum of 30 hours per week. The schedule for this position has not been assigned yet. If you are selected to move forward, your schedule will be determined as you progress through the hiring, onboarding, and training process. Your manager will work with you to assign a schedule based on business needs before your start date.
