Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an Unarmed Security Officer in Blythewood, SC to safeguard clients across industries. You will patrol, monitor access, and provide strong customer service while adhering to site procedures.

You will work in a manufacturing/industrial setting, handling routine duties, responding to incidents, and coordinating with site leadership to deter security concerns. This role requires a HS diploma and eligible age requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of security-related experience.
• Minimum two years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience.
• Badge/access control experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors per site policies and emergency procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, parking, access points, and perimeter.
• Monitor and verify visitor/contractor authorization and maintain documentation.
• Respond calmly to incidents and alarms per site procedures and notify appropriate personnel.
• Report hazards, damaged property, unusual activity, and policy violations to leadership.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed - General Duty in Blythewood, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, support access control, and help deter security-related incidents. You will provide professional customer service, communicate clearly with employees and visitors, and respond to site needs with integrity. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, parking areas, access points, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate visitor, vehicle, and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Report observed hazards, damaged property, unusual activity, and policy violations to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements

• Have at least two years of security-related experience.
• Have at least two years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
