Job summary

Allied Universal in Saint Joseph, MO is seeking a Security Officer for full-time unarmed patrol at a food and beverage production location. You will monitor areas, conduct patrols, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a food and beverage production location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, receiving and shipping locations, employee entrances, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and maintain accurate logs and incident reports.
• Observe and report potential hazards, equipment concerns, policy violations, and unusual activity to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
