Allied Universal, a leading security and facilities services company, is seeking an unarmed Security Officer (Part Time) in Christiansburg, VA. You will patrol, deter security incidents, manage access control, and provide exceptional customer service while upholding safety and integrity.

Position is Part Time with a pay rate of $18.94 per hour. Schedule includes nights and weekends; you will join a caring team that values reliability, ongoing training, and career growth opportunities.

Responsabilités

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control and alarm response activities. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while contributing to a caring, reliable team that acts with integrity and embraces innovative solutions.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout buildings, production-adjacent areas, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor and report unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to the appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation in accordance with site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable use of a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
