Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Officer – Route Patrol Driver in Roanoke, VA. You will provide unarmed security, patrol facilities, and deliver professional customer service while following site procedures and safety rules.

The position offers a flexible schedule with Day Time shifts. A valid driver's license is required, and you must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles. Pay is $17.50 per hour, with the option to claim additional shifts through our platform.

Responsibilities

• Respond to incidents calmly and contact appropriate personnel and emergency services as needed.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports and communicate information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

This primarily driving post requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utility services location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor for unusual conditions, hazards, equipment issues, and unauthorized access, reporting observations through established site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and emergency services as needed.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
